It’s weird but it works.

This build is by no means min/maxed, but it’s fun and that’s all I care about. This build only utilizes power armor for boss fights and daily ops if needed but goes without otherwise. Using V.A.T.s in power armor drains the cores plus Unyielding armor helps keep agility up for more action points.

This build includes legendary perks x3 for Endurance, Luck, and Agility, and maxed out Strength. If you don’t have coins available, or want to use something else, you’ll have to make adjustments.

Armor

I am using scout armor rolled Unyielding. Scout armor (any of the variations) provides a good balance of ballistic and energy resistance, has mods readily available in the Military Wing of The Whitesprings Bunker, and (with the exception of covert scout) is tradable so I can check vendors for better pieces or trade them from other characters. I have polymer and ultra-light mods on them. I recommend trying for powered/AP refresh on your pieces to give you more AP.

Power Armor

Like my other Bloodied Power Armor build, I have full Hellcat Overeaters. I don’t spend much time in this armor so weight reduction is important. Must have mods: Emergency Protocols and Calibrated Shocks.

Weapons

I am rolling with a Bloodied Gatling gun as my daily driver. The extended magazine mod goes on for days and you’ll be rolling in ammo. This is my V.A.T.s gun. Some folks prefer the Plasma Caster, and it is a great choice, but this build is focused on ballistic ammo so you won’t find it here.

For my boss fights/spray and pray guns I carry a quad explosive .50 and a Blooded Explosive LMG. If you are looking for an Anti-Armor options, the Final Word can be obtained from Beckett’s quest and is a great .50.

Buffs

I use camp machines to buff my luck and agility along with Strange in Numbers with Carnivore. I can usually get my agility up to 42 with a full team and minimal effort. The buffs I’ve listed in parentheses are with Carnivore bonus.

AP food options:

While Carnivore does have some minor AP foods, they aren’t great so I go with Company Tea with canned coffee on my quick wheel in case of emergency.

Drink options:

Aside from keeping Company Tea going, I only drink Nuka-Cola with the Cola Nut card.

Chem Options:

  • Day Tripper
  • Formula P
  • X-Cell
